Rookie Camp Day 1

Please find attached a copy of the prospectus for the Rookie Camp. I was only there for about an hour so I didn't get to see everyone. For those that stayed longer, please add to this report.

A couple of quick notes.

Navraj Bassi- When he was hitting the pads, it made a different sound than the other guys. He's as big as advertised.

Reggie Bradshaw- Good size, good speed but imo, suspect hands. Maybe he was just nervous.

Brock Stratton- Short legs, very big chest. Looks like a cube, but moves pretty well.

Adarius Bowman- As advertised. Big, showed good speed with sharp cuts. Solid hands.

Devon Hicks- Bigger than I thought he was going to be. I imagined him as a lean and mean type of guy, but he is actually fairly thick throughout. Showed good quickness.

Quinton Jones- Showed good jump on the ball. Sneaky quick.

Quentin Griffin- Quick, very shifty with solid hands. Again, a lot thicker than what I imagined.

Jamal Robertson- Boy has speed. When he turns the corner, he's flying. Built like a little tank. Should be an interesting guy to watch this TC.

Amazing. For people who think this O is gonna be suspect, I think we have the brighest future outta any team in the CFL.

Love the depth we have at Receivers and Running Back.............and this is just Rookie Camp......

Nope. The beard was flowing!!! I don't know how his chinstrap stays on. Another guy that was interesting to watch was Princeton Sheppard. He dwarfed all the other receivers by a wide margin. He made one catch where he had to jump and I thought I was watching Dwight Howard do that superman dunk. Big, big kid.

If the coaches groom these guys well enough, you'll have a solid stack of players. But that may make it hard to cut some guys. A great problem to have though.

So too with Bassi. BC was grooming him until he walked away from football.
