Improvements/Changes for 2010 Season

I just about ripped my knee apart thanks to a large crater in the back of the endzone. It put me out of comission for a few weeks. I'm extremely lucky I didn't tear it to shreds. I've never had a knee problem in my life, but I honestly am not sure I'll be back if we have to play on those mine fields again.

I was talking to some people about playing and here is an idea that came up.

What about having two divisions. One is competitive and one is recreational. The competitive division would have a set fee per team and you enter as a team and then the recreational division you sign up as you have in the past and have the draft for fairness and all that jazz.

I like the idea as it gives an alternative to the Regina Touch League which is very difficult to get into right now.

Also you could play in both divisions which would give those who want more football an opportunity to play more. This I assume would be very popular as I know there were quite a few that played in the fall league because they wanted more players.

What do people think of this?

I like going to flag, opens up some run plays, options, play fakes etc. if you have the right players, I think this would def be more fun

Plus takes out the whole argument about whether someone was tagged before/as/after they caught the ball, which seems to happen multiple times every game


Paid refs would be nice too, I hate reffing(specifically certain teams) cus I dont know the rules perfectly and theres a lot of people that arnt honest about the play and try to get an advantage by a missed call by the ref, what i was told when I first signed up was the refs were there to help but it was expected of teh players to be honest since its a fun league, we all know the one or two teams that dont go by that letter of the law
