If the lline gives Darian time, Simon, Dressle, Sanders and co can push coverage deep leaving all kinds of room for Sheets out of the backfield. A lot like the success Andrew Harris has as a receiver.

I don't want to derail the thread but it was like 32 yards or something, there was plenty of time for him to just pound the ball into the endzone. Oh well...
Wow, I forgot how good he was last year lol. The way he can get around the corner sure is impressive for a 210 pound tailback. People are right saying that he has "deceptive speed". Also his cutbacks in open space must be pretty hard for defences to stop.
Glad to hear Sheets is dedicated to being even better in 2013.
I love our weapons:
Sheets
Sanders
Dressler
Simon
Getzlaf
Carr
T. Smith
that's a pretty good mix.
Highlight reel is outstanding. Such an upgrade over what we had. And then as a change of pace Kory lines up wide, and Sanders bursts through the hole like a bullet.Wow, I forgot how good he was last year lol. I for one was quite surprised that was allowed and a penalty was not called against the Riders for a Tandem block. Although called very rarely (I can remember once in 30+ years of watching CFL), it is definitely in the rule book.
Tom Higgins touches on it in this article:

I suspect the days of a running back getting 350 carries is over. When Mike Pringle was running wild in Montreal.....they didn't have a great passing game.
2000 yards from scrimmage is very attainable--he had just shy of 1800 this year.
Nice for him to look at the record and say, "I can do that", but I doubt our O will be geared in such a way as to make that realistic. If he can lead the league with 1600 yards--that'll be awesome.
None better at protecting the ball either.......
Yes, but let's not forget Taj Smith. He was just as productive over his 13 games as Simon was over his 13 games last year.
This is the kind of attitude that needs to permeate the team, the locker room, and everyone involved. Swagger & confidence plus talent and great coaching = wins.
This is going to be a great year!!!
Korey is no doubt a huge asset for the Riders. In Training Camp he had his moments and so did a few others. In the end he just improved and won the competition. His key will no doubt be remaining injury free. Combined with hopefully a healed Sanders, the Riders look solid in the backfield. Hughes also is part of the equation and the zone read with Durant also assists with the running game.
Once the receiving core is settled the Riders appear pretty solid. With more continuity on the offensive line and a new Offensive coordinator I think most fans are excited about the possibilities.
It's not "backstabbing"...it's pro sports. A performance business.
Dyce made more than a few questionable playcalls last year. We all saw it. Including, obviously, Taman and Chamblin....or they wouldn't have made a change.
Not just that, they were kind of clones when they were on the field at the same time. Same general body shape and size, etc. More than once, IIRC, the TSN guys got them mixed up.
I hasten to add though, that they are NOT the same player - Taj is far better.
