Also nobody has posted a valid reason as to why it should be replaced that I have seen.

edit: that was in reference to Pappcams post.

Ya, but don't they know about all these imaginary events that they'll inevitably lose out on now as well? /s lol

Lethbridge gets concerts ? Edmonton is the concert capital . I guess they do , just looking at their event calendar.

FWIW I have heard some interesting upgrade ideas by someone that works for the WHL that he has heard from Pats brass. Most interesting was putting luxury boxes between the top and bottom of the lower/upper decks, and then flipping the concessions and bathrooms and building a new concourse on what is effectively the outside of the rink building itself. Most of that is already in place though. Pointless though unless the plan is to keep it for ~15+ years.

Also rumblings that the ownership group wants to "manage" the arena and do all the event scheduling and what not.

But if they spend $100+ mill on a new arena maybe the concerts will stop in Lethbridge now too.

            Kidding, of course.

Itís the perfect size for WHL hockey or Agribition events. Sure, some concerts go to Saskatoon and not here, but I doubt any band would stop in both cities anyway just because of a rink. Heck, I just really like the place, and think it is a great practical rink with good sight lines and a good open concourse. Iím not sure what we could improve.
They will still select Saskatoon over Regina as Saskatoon has the bigger University and is more centrally located. Not to mention fewer and fewer acts can fill the Brandt Center. More bands are selecting Conexus and Casino Regina.

I would say the Casino is becoming one of the best locations fits just over 700 people which for many of the bands today is all they can sell for smaller cities. When Stone Sour and Halestorm played Saskatoon it was likely around that amount of tickets sold and those are two of the bigger modern rock acts around.

They should've left all those boxes they put in for the Memorial Cup behind the net at the very top.

I actually really like the idea of putting boxes between the lower and upper bowl. Surrounds the ice with bodies and lets those who want to go get drinks or food get out of the way of clogging up the entrance ways. That's one of my pet peeves with Mosaic. The losers who stand at the entrance way to each section deserve a shot in the junk. Ushers need to do a better job of getting them off to the side.

I noticed ushers galore at Taylor Field. At new Mosaic, not so much.

They built new permanent ones in the SE corner at the top for he Memorial Cup.
The ones in the NE corner at the top were just temporary ones

But you are supposed to wait there during game play until the play is over before traveling down/up to your seat so as to not block anyone's view of the action. I hate that when someone passes in front of my seat during a play. Most experienced fans know to wait. I'm sure eisle people have similar problems when watching the game.
