Haha eff outta here! One of the top centers in the league for an average center and 2 back of the rotation players - sounds like a win to me

The numbers really donít line up. And how old is Gasol now?

Yeah, you got to give up something to get something. JV is a good player but he's not Gasol by any means. Miles is not worth mentioning and although I had higher hopes for Delon, he's stuck in 3rd string and hardly playing. It's worth the gamble imo. I'm in favor.

        • There are going to be a few very good teams in the East that wonít go as far as they hoped.

Yup thatís exactly it, add the delon is a FA this year that was not likely to be back and you are essentially trading Gasol for JV and Miles

Gasol is a better player than JV and Miles is so far down the bench heís really immaterial

              • Kudos to the Sixers. They are going to be a handful in the playoffs.

                76ERS: A

Arguably no team accomplished more at the deadline than the Sixers, who were aggressive and calculated, positioned themselves as legitimate contenders for this season, and will have financial bandwidth to try and keep Jimmy Butler and newly-acquired Tobias Harris on the roster long-term. By dealing Markelle Fultz for a likely 2020 first and what should be a consequential 2019 second-rounder, they recouped some of the draft capital they dealt to add Harris. Adding James Ennis for next to nothing and an extra veteran in Jonathon Simmons helps to beef up their rotation, and the Sixers are positioned to add another player through the buyout market. Although thereís a chance Butler and Harris depart in free agency, the Sixers bow out before the conference finals and things backfire, Philly deserves credit for its decision to go for it. There is a brief window here before Ben Simmons gets much more expensive, and doubling down on the win-now gamble the Sixers made with Butler in the fall was the route they had to take. If all their new parts mesh, they might be the favorites in the East.

                • They needed to do something as the Raptors have manhandled them this season. They still have no bench, but that starting 5 is dynamite.

                  • Milwaukee adding Mirotic is huge .... they have been the best team of the first half and just got better.

Yup underrated move that has a high probability of helping then win the east and be competitive against the warriors - they didnít have to give up much either so their depth is in tact other than thon

                      • What a game by Siakam and O.G. tonight. That's the kind of game the Raptors are going to need from them down the stretch. Exciting ball with everyone getting their touches. Looked like a great atmosphere in the building.

Spicy P had it going. The Raptors have another gear to switch into defensively when the playoffs come and it matters. They have so much length and now with Gasol it's going to be fun. They just have to hope Kawhi and Lowry are healthy enough when the real games start.

Siakam has been good all season, but really taking it to another level the last couple of weeks. It's nice that they can rest Kawhi, and have Siakam come in and produce to such a high level. Lin looked okay, albeit a little nervous, and Gasol seems to be integrating into the team and the style of play faster than anyone could have expected. I would really like them to add Markief Morris as a buy-out player to fill out the roster.

FVV out for 5 weeks hurts, but hopefully Lin will get comfortable quickly, as he is a high level back-up PG.
