  • Can we beat Winnipeg?

I didn't get to watch the game tonight, but if we have any chance of salvaging this season, it seems that we're going to need to win both games against the Bombers.

    Can we do it?

If they play like they did tonight, yes. They did not have a great game. They have had small miracles the last couple weeks and the Riders took them to the ropes in their first meeting in a game that they may have been playing off of a little too much hype

Yes. Winnipeg is good but the Riders are capable of playing better then they did last week. Their defense gives up lots of yards but compensates by creating turnovers. Don't turnover the ball (easier said than done) and they won't look nearly as good.

This same 'horrible' Cats team almost beat the undefeated Eskimos last week. Will the Riders be so close and put up that good of a fight when they play in Edmonton?
So depends which logic you are using.
Teams can beat teams anytime. So the question of "can a team win" is absolutely dumb.

              Will it matter by then?

What are the odds of the Riders beating the Bombers?

We were one upright from a tie vs Winnipeg

Yes, perhaps that's a better way to phrase it.

If Winnipeg is the team that played tonight, then, absolutely we'll beat them. They don't look nearly as good as their record and the Riders aren't as bad as theirs.

On paper, I think we could beat any team. In practice we've been coming up short. Or not at all. Yes, we can beat Winnipeg. Will we is up in the air.

50-50 on labour day. 30-70 on banjo bowl.

Those odds are probably about right. I don't really seeing the Riders winning both.
