Any idea of they are doing an 80s retro jersey to go along with the "80s Party" and the tribute to the '89 Cup team?

Enhancing the game day experience for those that need something more than the game itself. Just smart business

It is also showing support for other forms of entertainment. Most of these acts get to play for grounds significantly bigger then they normally would.

I agree, but bringing in bands that perform at bars for free isnít really enhancing much. Not saying they need to bring in Drake, but at least bring in someone that is exciting. Like Edmonton who did this had Ludacris and Busta Rhymes last year who are both HUGE American acts. Not saying we could get that, but we could do better than what they have announced so far.

Do you want to pay more for tickets to see a larger band play 2-3 songs? They also have not announced all the acts.

Thatís not the point. If the goal of this is to draw in more fans, than you need to bring in acts that are going to draw in fans. If you arenít increasing attendance or enhancing the game day experience, you are just throwing money down the toilet.

I donít see Tenille Art or Bombargo driving attendance up.

Those guys were big 15-20 years ago but nevertheless, it adds something to the experience

And the people that were kids then have $100 to go to a football game now. Those artists are drawing way more fans in then anyone announced for the Riders so far.

These music acts are just top up to the main attraction.

The August 1st game is a "Thursday Night Football" game.
CFL will have the TNF concert series again this year.
As this is a CFL initiative we will have to wait for them to announce who the acts will be.
Riderville site says it will be a "Major Canadian Performer".

Yes I understand that, but a band no ones heard of or cares about is not adding much to the experience. Edmonton did the same thing last year, but brought in acts that actually added to the experience.
