didn't the injury occur in August.? Add 10 months and it is June.

But he didn't have surgery until the off season.

SASKATOON, SASK. — Nine months after tearing his ACL, veteran receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux took the field with his new team on Sunday as the Riders opened camp.

Murray McCormick reported the news on Twitter on Sunday morning as teams across the CFL kicked off their 2019 training camp.

Arceneaux, 31, signed with Saskatchewan this off-season after his contract with the Lions expired. He spent eight seasons in BC, catching 556 passes for 8,169 yards and 55 touchdowns.

The Riders are holding their training camp at the University of Saskatchewan’s Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon.

          • Just having Manny in camp working with the young guys is big time.

Tore it at end of August. He did delay surgery as he was convinced he could rehab it to return before the season was up.

As a reference point in 2017 Lulay tore his up 2 weeks to the day later than Manny. In camp he participated in most QB drills as long as they didn't involve cutting, scrambling or contact. He didn't see action until Week 5. He had dressed as emergency #3 the game prior to that.

The year before BC signed Chris Williams who was also recovering from an ACL tear. His though came 6 weeks later in the season than Manny's. He also came to camp. He did some light running and otherwise spent most of the time on the bike. He didn't return to action until early August 10 months almost to the day after he went down.

Everybody recovers on a slightly different timeline but based on Lulay and Williams a return around Week 3 would add up for Manny unless delaying the surgery adds time to it.

                  • I wonder how close Manny really is to playing. I don’t remember how fast he was before. He looked a little slow during the Green and White pregame warm ups. I hope he is 100% before he plays.

I think, if I'm Gainey, it's either full arm around the shoulders or no contact at all. Getting caught in between is (jokingly) creepy. LOL

How is he caught in between? She’s the one who’s backed into him. He ain’t touching her otherwise.

First of all, get some glasses. Second, lighten up.

                                I prefer that explanation.
