      I'd say good. But Sunderland and Maas would have even greater chances of being fired.

        Rhodes seems to have an Al Ford type hold on that organization for some reason.
        Waiting for the big ole splash...actually there was no big splash, just a peaceful ripple. Dammit, there was supposed to be a big ole splash!!

          Im thinking in a few days our cupboards will be fine.

          Yours? How do you think yours will be?

            Well, no. It was actually about this;

            Hervey needs a starting QB. Now. So he is trying to get one. His "fail" as you put it will be not finding another after Reilly or whomever else lands here.

              The only silver lining to all this is that it SHOULD be the final nail in Rhodents coffin.

                This isn’t on Maas and Sunderland. They’ve done everything they could.

                  How can Rhodes be blamed for everything when it's Sunderland and Maas responsibility for the on-field product?

                    One of two starting quarterbacks who didn't make the playoffs. ****e the Riders made the playoffs without a starting quality quarterback....

                      Who gets the blame first? We both know that answer.

                        By saying that Sunderland has set it up to be able to say that they offered Reilly the same money and it was his decision to leave. Putting it on Reilly that he is gone and hoping the fans will accept that, instead of putting the blame on him and the Eskimo organization.

                          The Baba Booey defence couldn't stop a fart.

                            We will agree to disagree. I was talking about development and recruiting.....not about free agency.

                            I also heard that If Reilly does go to BC....Having Jarious there as his OC was a major factor. Wasn't that the guy you wanted out ?

                              Because if Rhodent hadn’t fired a championship winning GM for the sake of his fragile ego, Reilly would have signed a big extension last offseason and none of this would be happening right now.

                              Brock and Jason have been flying out to Seattle to talk with him all winter, they extended multiple generous offers, and have been in contact with him every day. Not sure what more they can do.

                                or a fan can say 'well, they offered him the same to stay and he bolted, so what does that say about the staff and culture?' And Rhodes and Sunderland are the top dogs for culture and staff development. I think a lot could have ridden the better deal (if it turns into 700k) or the closer to home angle, but IMO this kinda eliminates one of those, so put a move down to closer to home and overall outlook (staff/roster/etc). IMO the more considerations as to why he might leave being left open for interpretation is probably better for the top brass.
