There are only maybe two elite QBs I the CFL, Reilly and Mitchell, Bo is only leaving Cgy for the NFL, and Reilly is old. Ray is old and off injured if anyone is thinking of him.
It is all average QB and stout defence for the rest of the teams.
There is nothing wrong with running for touchdowns and kicking masses of field goals as long as you win.
At the end of the season, our defence went backward in the last few games, forcing few turnovers and not scoring. If Chris Jones had a late season failure to adjust, it was on defence.
Off season goals include strengthening the O line so we can run more consistently and keep an average QB upright.
Don't know if I'd call Reilly old just yet. Older yes compared to some other starters but not a lot older as QBs go. He turns 34 in a couple weeks. Harris turns 33 in May. Nichols turns 32 in March. Masoli and Collaros turn 31 in August. That's only 3 years separating the 5 who are in the prime years for a QB. Glenn and Ray are what you can call old old with Lulay knocking on that door.

When those things happen the player does tend to sign there. Just the fact the other team traded for them tells them they are really wanted there.

        .
I would easily pick jennings over collaros.

not only is reilly old, his playing time and hit meter are as high as any starter in the cfl. He has been and will still be a warrior, but man he could use an o line, cause he tends to hold that ball till the last possible second, and then one more.

ZC sucked when healthy and is made of glass. No thanks

I wanted him last off season but I have done a 180 on him...I hope we do not entertain bringing him back

Bash me now but Id like to see Manziel in a Rider uniform. Id like to see what he could do with our offense. I would believe hed be just as capable if not more so a QB like Jennings, Pipkin or any other younger quarterback. My two cents and it may not be much but just my thoughts.

If we still have the rights to Tyler Crapinga I would see if the lions would be interested in a trade, Crapinga for Jennings rights.
                Just a thought....
it would give us the opportunity to negotiate with both Collaros and Jennings.
                Now flame away!
While I agree Crapigna may be expendable and a tradeable asset

I don't see any value in giving him to BC for rights to Jennings

like many I think Jennings hits the open market - it should be a decent bidding year for QBs

Wont bash you but what does Manziel have to offer? Hes yet another player who might be able to return to form with the right coach and a change of scenery, but didnt we just go thru that with ZC? He got his change of scenery but failed to return to his 2015 form. I tending to agree with others here that we should find one the may reach his potential here instead of finding one trying to regain his glory. Biggest problem with all this is the age of one year contracts and it doesnt give us the win now scenario we all want or demand. Find a good young project or open the bank and buy a top QB, seems easy right?

Personally I don't see Crapigna offering much value as a FG specialist who doesn't punt and is meh on KOs. A 4th round draft pick would offer much better value.

I was thinking though Calgary is very much a wild card in the QB carousel. They've been to the last 3 Grey Cups, 4 of the last 5 and 5 of the last 7. They are also hosting this year's game. I think some may be underestimating how aggressive Huf will be in filling the void should Mitchell land an NFL contract. They can ill afford to sit and wait to see if BLM doesn't stick or land a PR spot. Huf will want to get somebody he thinks can get them to the GC, not settle for some unproven commodity or geezer like Glenn.

I agree. Reilly is going to free agency no matter what. Might as well wait till feb and make a direct call then!
