No way BC would wind up going after Biggie AND keep SolE and I can see them chasing Biggie. He's 2 years younger and doesn't have the recent injury history SolE has. SolE is getting to where even some of the best MLBs we've seen can start to quickly break down.

Without knowing what direction the new coaching staff will take one thing that wouldn't surprise me is if Elimimian retired to take an assistant's job. While he was out with the wrist nerve injury he spent a lot of time down on the sidelines working closely with Mark Washington signalling in plays etc. I see him as definitely wanting to pursue coaching when he's done playing. Not sure if he's still in the area but SolE's brother spent a couple years coaching somewhere in the lower mainland. Just can't remember if it was UBC, SFU or one of the CJFL teams. It seems there is coaching in his bloodlines.
Herdman exceeded his lowly draft status when he got to play MLB in place of Sol-E - he was excellent IMO, particularly as a run stopper - and quite better than over-rated, cheap-shot Awe (IMO again); the Lions could maybe think of moving on from Sol-E and his big contract at MLB (Stamps sign him to replace Singleton?), but wether Mr. Ed and Claybrooks thinking would see a Canadian starting at MLB for them is a big question. Bighill was outstanding at OLB for the Lions playing in tandem with Sol-E and could line-up there for them again - Will OLB is a spot of real defensive play-making in the CFL now - Eguavoen, Thurman, Ackie, for example. The Lions have a good one too in Lokombo, so they could stick with him and not have to shell out big bucks for Bighill; but i can't see them going with 2 Canadians (Herdman & Lokombo) at those 2 key positions on D.

he saw a little action on the DL and I thought he looked pretty solid. Depending what happens to our FAs may-be he has a shot at a starting position?

If it is for Reilly and they lose Solly and not get Bighill would leave a hole at MLB. Hervey would be taking a big chance. Appears that you are a gambling man.
          Don't expect Bighill here either.

You are right. I expect Bighill to return to the Bombers.

I think the stamps will be a player for Bighill.

Very seldom Huff gets into a bidding war. They seem to try to bring in their own players.

Could be. I think the allure to return home to Vancouver could be large.

If the Stamps land Bighill that fills the Singleton void nicely but they’ll still need to adjust the ratio. Their vaunted Canadian depth isn’t what it once was.

Yup, he's also moving to Winnipeg as he got an off-season job as an investment advisor.

Good for the Bomers to lock him down long term! Kingpin of your defence.

Guess this debunks some of the stuff about players not resigning. Since he has job outside of football that would be a big draw to sign and settle down.
