  • Head Shots. Enough is Enough.

In this day and age I cannot believe the CFL still doesn't have a targeting rule.

There have been countless examples throughout the season and tonight with Willis on Collaros is just another one to add to the pile.

You lay a hit like that and you should be ejected. Get those hits out of the game.

They toss guys for those hits in amateur leagues in both Canada and the US. Why are the professional leagues so far behind on this issue?

If they don't call a penalty on the play how do they eject a player, it all falls on officiating.

Agreed, Although yeah, super happy with the win and all but also disappointed they left ZC in the game - not cool.

...Couldn't agree more... Just plain ugly... Caps Wilson one of the worst...
...Put a fellow players career in jeopardy... Just plain ugly...

I have seen an instance where the eye in the sky calls the penalty and ejection in the NCAA.

Watch the NCAA. The booth calls down and calls a targeting hit if it is missed on the field.
IMO the CFL should take some rule and officiating cues from the NCAA.

Hard to work when the eye in the sky is Ray Charles

Yep. An actual targeting rule with the ability to be called down from the booth and when called, it results in an automatic ejection from the current game and missing the next game.

officials can miss it. No excuse for the eye.

                              100%.

NCAA seems to have a very good solution to targeting.
