Can't wait to see Speedy Gonzalos ...
Next to their 2000 attendance figures, Toronto attendance will feel monstrous.
What's next, the Irish Potato League

You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by the speed of light squared... ...then you energy.

I await (with bated breath) the Scottish Haggis League.

Canadian kickers better sharpen their skills. Some of those soccer players could make Lauther's 56-yarder look like a chip shot.
                Is it May yet?

                    How is this a Joke?

There is likely quite a few gems down there that just don't get the recognition they would get normally because it is such a small league. How is us looking at film and offering a handful of talented players the ability to showcase their stuff, while at the same time allowingour Canadian players who would otherwise be looked over and be out of football here the opportunity to continue on and get some extra film on themselves? Their League would operate much like the AAFL season, and offer the CFL a feeder ground of potential players outside of CIS and NFL camp cuts that we are likely losing to the AAFL anyway.

Unlike the AAFL, Ambroisie isn't trying to re-invent the wheel..... He is looking to established leagues that, while small, could hold potential for us....

This is similar to the Chris Jones Scouting approach imo.... leave no stone unturned and expand our brand.

To that market we are the Big brother, as opposed to the red-headed step child we are to the NFL...

There is talent in Mexico. If you watched the U19 World Championship a few months ago, Mexico beat USA in the semis and then we beat Mexico in the final in a tight game.

No, its not. Its a smart move by the CFL to build a relationship with another league. Especially given the AAFL starting up. You can't ignore a potential market for players, with 1 (and soon to be 2) leagues entering the market.

This is the kind of stuff that Ambrosie was referring to a few weeks ago. I think it's a good move. Probably costs next to nothing, casts a wider net of potential athletes to recruit from and at the same time starts to expand the visibility of the CFL into other countries. I fail to see the downside of this. Yet many feel we should be trying to compete with the NFL marketing giant.

This, and there are a lot of those kids that would prefer to live/play in a Country not run by a crazy person who wants them to build a wall.....

I wonder if a closer relationship between the leagues might influence their (the Mexican league) approach to the game, i.e., the different rule sets, playing field, etc.. Exposure to the Canadian game (in my biased opinion, the better game) might have some subtle effects down the road.
