$2600 bucks for a 4 month rental of a non fully-serviced campsite is a joke. We've done seasonal twice and I thought it was steep last year at $2100. Won't be doing that again.

Quick look on kijiji and I found this one at Mcphee lake for 3500 a season. Maybe the government isn't way off in their fees?

You're comparing a fully serviced site with a shed and doc allowed to a bare bones site? Add in winter storage and surveillance? LOL if anything at only $900 more it makes the government ones looks even more overpriced.

Hell, most of our provincial parks don't even do fireworks for Canada Day.

Geez and i though the private park Iím at was steep going up an extra 100 to 2450 for 2019, and itís full service and has free boat parking with no entry fees, and you can bring your bikes and quads in, and can also drink on May long and never have fire bans, so I guess I shouldnt complain anymore lol

I think your are allowed to put up one shed and a deck. Like most private campground for long term leases.

There is absolutely no comparison. A doc is not a deck.

Jeepers it makes the mooring costs for my boat look cheap! And I can leave the marina and camp anywhere I want on Diefenbaker...

A little off topic, but where is the best place to camp in or around Banff? Have only tented there before but now have a 26 foot trailer and prefer electrical and a place to fill up with water. Any hidden gems other than the national park etc?
